There are many misunderstandings about scripture. One of the main topics that many are misunderstanding is the topic of Gods judgments or wrath. We will try to tackle this topic in sections because there is much to discuss in regards to whether or not God destroys people physically. We will also clear up the confusion of whether or not God breaks the commandment Thou shall not kill. What we will do first is analyze His motive or intentions; this will allow us to receive a good perception of Gods actions in any situation.
I will be focusing on three principles which replay through out scripture which the Father Himself possesses when doing or allowing anything destructive to occur.
Principle #1: Natural Law / Consequences
Sin causes many natural consequences which occur in the world. These judgments or consequences were put into nature. These judgments do not necessarily occur by the Father, which causes it to happen soon as you commit a sin but rather they occur because of the nature of the sin. There is a consequence of living in darkness and that repayment is MORE darkness or a path that won’t allow them to return to God. We see this during the flood.
Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
The judgment following was based on pain and hurt, not anger and wrath. Father was trying to preserve mankind with this destruction not eliminate it.
Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
If God did not destroy the wicked which He did not want to do, Noah and his family might have been affected by the violence that the world was participating in. Father preserved Man by saving Noah and His Family and eliminating those who knew Him and did not care.
What happened to Man that they ended up in such a wicked condition?
We see how Father allows judgments to occur naturally by allowing Man to walk away from God and rely on them. Roman chapter 1 18 to 28 says
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
We see in the first two verses God is not pleased with individuals whom He manifested the truth to and are now using the truth for a wicked purpose.
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Knowing God and not glorifying Him has a Natural and spiritual affect on mankind. They begin to rely on their own reasoning which corrupts their judgment and causes even more darkness to grow within.
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
With this natural decline occurring they begin to create and reveal a new glory and image of God. By this they begin to become un teachable and they reject the spirit and the God whom revealed Himself to them already.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
God allows them to receive or reap what they have sown and allows them to proceed further into darkness. The removal of Fathers spirit from their lives only leads them to commit more vile and horrible sins which continue to hurt them and pollute the people around them.
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
These verses point to Homosexuality being a symptom of God giving them over to vile affections. Here Paul mentions “receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet”. This verse is saying that those who are in a darker state, received their recompense/repayment or judgment for committing sins due to not wanting to retain or hold on to truth they knew was from God. Just like the flood they received the consequence for their sins prior to their physical destruction. The natural cause of sin is spiritual death and reprobate lifestyle. This is the judgment that occurs when a person is living in sin but lets look at verse 32 which states,
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Not only have they received a consequence for their sin but they now have a future Judgment they are worthy of. This is definitely referring to the second death spoken of in the book revelation.
Jesus spoke of this consequence of denying the spirits leading and living contrary to the word of God.
Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto
men.
This blasphemy was the same that occurred in Noahs time when Father declared:
“Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man,”
Man was striving or fighting against Fathers spirit which is what led to their polluted minds and lifestyles. They grew so far in darkness they had no desire to repent, therefore committing blasphemy against the spirits convictions.
It is satans joy to use mankind to execute more wickedness into this world. The enemy desires to hurt God by deceiving man into parading himself against God especially amongst Gods people. Father allows them to reap their spiritual death/Judgment until the removal sin and death from existence which happens at the end.
Principle #2: The motive of Hatred
The sixth commandment states,
“Exo 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.”
Many ask the question, If God commands us not to kill then why does He kill so much?
The problem with this question is that its based on a incorrect perception of the command itself. The word Kill in this verse is rawtsakh, which in THIS CONTEXT means to Murder. This word is also used as simply destroy or kill also such as in sacrifice and other things, but in this context of the commandment it is referring to murder. Murder means to lay and wait with HATRED in their heart to take someone’s life. Jesus Himself revealed that the core of the sixth command is hatred.
Mat 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Whoever is angry without a cause is in danger of the same judgment as killing someone. This verse is very specific and was not speaking of being angry but angry without a morally sound cause.
1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
John reveals that Hatred toward your brother is the sin of Murder. In order to commit murder and break the sixth commandment, you must have hatred in your heart. If the act of killing was the same as murder men would not escape punishment if a death was cause by accident.
Deu 19:2 Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.
Deu 19:3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer(killer) may flee thither.
Deu 19:4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;
We see here that the punishment for breaking the 6th commandment is NOT for those who ignorantly destroy a life, having NO HATRED in his heart. Now as we continue, we will see how one can be guilty of breaking the 6th commandment.
Deu 19:11 But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
Deu 19:12 Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
Hatred is the factor which makes one a murder and guilty of breaking the command not to kill. Anger is not a sinful attribute but as we read, “Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:”.
Being angry without a cause and allowing that to promote hatred in your mind is the root of Murder. We see here in Ephesians chapter 4 verse 26 to 27 it states,
Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
Scripture is clear which shows we can BE ANGRY but not allow it to lead to sin. This is a principle which the Father definitely does not break. There is not one ounce of Hatred toward mankind which would make Him guilty of breaking His own commandment. His heart is Love and hatred cannot exist nevertheless pain and hurt does.
The Pain the Father has in His heart for sending His son to die for mankind is extremely great. Also to see them purposely give up this gift for mammon or the pleasures of this earth is grievous to Him. There cannot be hatred only pity for mankind. At this point the spirit is withdrawn and they move further and further into darkness separating themselves from the blessings to receive the curses and awaiting final removal from existence.
The only enemy Father and His Son has are sin and death.
Rom_8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Sin and death are the main things Father is trying to eliminate from existence. Father is restoring the universe and earth back to a perfect condition where sin and death does not exist. In destroying sin and death, those who have chosen to cling to sin and death, will be consumed as Father is removing this sinful world and creating a new one. As the Father purifies the earth they are consumed with it, not because of Hatred or anger but out of grief and pity. Mankind chooses their outcome.
If man has a sheep, and the sheep has a terminal illness which is contagious, what decision would this man have to perform? The answer is to kill the sheep and put it out of its misery. To leave them alive, they would only be promoting more pain and the chance of every sheep catching this illness. This is the same with mankind and sin. This leads us to our 3rd principle.
Principle #3: Preservation
This principle is seen in many instances in scripture and also in everyday life. Let’s look at this principle in scripture and see if there are any practical examples used in the world today.
Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
The body represents the body of Messiah.
1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
1Co_12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
If we notice that as Jesus is speaking about cutting off a member of the body, notice He says its better one member (Body Part) PERISH instead of the WHOLE BODY being cast into HELL. Clearly this a reference of the final punishment and preservation of the many by cutting off the few who risk poisoning the rest.
Many people use this principle about disease. Since our Father is a great physicians, lets understand the use of this principles by worldly physicians.
Many times when a patient has a disease such as gang green, if it is on the foot, the Doctors would try to preserve the foot first with various treatments. If the Foot gets worst, the next decision is to cut off the foot so it will not spread to the whole leg nevertheless the whole body. God has done this many times. The flood was and act of preservation, to save mankind. Look at how Father tries to preserve mankind in scripture by sending the prophets, teachers, laymen to reveal the sin which is spreading and leading to spiritual illness that will require getting cut off.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Why would God spue out a lukewarm person? Out of hatred? Of course not, but to preserve the rest of the church. A lukewarm person and deceive both Hot and cold people the Father is trying to save. They can cause the hot followers to cool down and the cold people to admire their false godliness and pursue a deception.
The principle of preservation is also seen in church discipline. A removal of the member of the body must be made when sin is at risk of spreading and infecting everyone.
1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Father asks us to remove and purge out the leaven and warns us that a little leaven or sin will affect the whole lump. This removal of a member of the body is to preserve the rest of the members. The main view of the motives why God destroys are to preserve the remnant.
Paul tells you what the leaven to be purged out is in the next verse
1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Eze 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
Eze 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
The true will of God is that all man lives and repents. Father desires the wicked to turn. God does not desire to destroy any. Father also does not desire sins consequences to occur as well. Father is determined to do all that He can to save ALL man, but at times to preserve more deaths; Father must remove those who know the truth and desires to poison others. We need to look at these principles and see that Father has not broken the command thou shalt not kill but has preserved Mankind in mercy. Father could allow the poison of sin to destroy all man but He cut sin short in order to preserve the remnant. The Flood, Sodom and Gomorra and other instances reveal these principles.
The Lake of fire is a different punishment. Father desires to eradicate sin and death and if we cling to these things we will be destroyed with the earth at its purifying. The Fire was ONLY prepared for this purifying and for the destruction of the Father of sin.
Joh_8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
The fire was not even prepared for mankind. But because they clung to this world and its lies, they was destroys with the lies and the Father of it. Though the Father has performed and allowed much destruction, it was never due to hatred or to force your decision. Father’s wrath only comes about to preserve mankind out of mercy and also to remove sin and death from existence. This is the true character behind understanding the Fathers wrath.
I will be focusing on three principles which replay through out scripture which the Father Himself possesses when doing or allowing anything destructive to occur.
